We believe knowing what to expect makes your visit more comfortable. Here's a detailed walkthrough of your first appointment at PrimeCare Family Dental.

Check-In & Paperwork (arrive 10–15 min early)
You'll be greeted by our friendly front desk team. We'll complete your new patient intake forms — reviewing your health history, current medications, and insurance. You can also call ahead to complete forms over the phone.

Initial Consultation & Medical History Review
Dr. Palaparthi or a team member will review your health background, discuss any dental concerns or anxiety, and answer your questions before anything begins. We want you to feel heard.

Digital X-Rays
We use low-radiation digital X-rays to get a complete picture of your oral health — detecting cavities, bone loss, and impacted wisdom teeth not visible to the naked eye. Fast, precise, and safe.

Comprehensive Oral Exam
Dr. Palaparthi thoroughly examines your teeth, gums, bite alignment, jaw, and soft tissues. She screens for cavities, gum disease, oral cancer, and signs of wear or grinding.

Professional Cleaning (Prophylaxis)
Our hygienist removes plaque and tartar buildup brushing alone can't reach, then polishes your teeth for a fresh, clean feel. We'll also review your at-home oral care routine.

Gum Health & Periodontal Screening
We measure gum pocket depths and assess your periodontal health. Early detection of gum disease can prevent serious problems down the road.

Treatment Plan & Q&A Session
We review all findings clearly — no dental jargon. Any recommended treatment is explained with options, timeline, and costs in full before scheduling anything. No pressure, ever.
